Intro to Magnus Archives (where have you been?!)

The Magnus Archives is one of the most popular fiction podcasts (if not by far and large the most popular) with over 2.5 million monthly listens and this is growing exponentially. The Magnus Archives is the Winner of 5 Audioverse Awards in 2019 including BEST AUDIOPLAY and BEST WRITING. Winner of the 2019 Discover Podcast awards for best audio drama or fiction podcast. The Magnus Archives is an ongoing long-form horror anthology podcast that details the supernatural cases under investigation by the Magnus Institute and its archivists. The series has more than 160 episodes in its catalogue.

The show follows new head archivist Jonathan Sims as he attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of supernatural statements up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team.

Individually, the statements are unsettling. Together they begin to form a picture that is truly horrifying, and as they look into the depths of the archives, something starts to look back…

Written and performed by Jonathan Sims
