STARTUP MICRODOSE - successful entrepreneurial interviews

Startup Microdose: a podcast with incredible access to conversations with the world's most successful entrepreneurs.

Hosts Ed and Oliver have day jobs that allow them to interact with successful founders – people on a mission to change the way our world works. They believe it has been a great way to learn incredible things very quickly.

One half of the duo: Ed

In the belief that keeping incredibly high quality content and insightful information to themselves seemed unfair, they embarked upon creating this podcast. They believe that the digital world means that information should no longer be reserved for those whose position grants them access. Your ears will reap the benefits!

The other: Olly

The podcast chats with leading startup founders – unpacking their stories, opinions, quirks and wisdom. From billion-dollar lawsuits to flow states and diversity, the podcast digs into the finer details of the people and companies changing the social and technological landscape of our world.

More on the duo

He worked as Head of Marketing at Angel Investment Network for 5 years where he crossed paths with Ed. After growing the community to over 1 million entrepreneurs and 200,000 investors worldwide, he raised investment to launch his own startup, ‘elmo‘, in 2019. elmo is a subscription platform for electric cars. Users get access to use an electric car on a flexible contract with the option to include everything from insurance to a charge point in the monthly package. Visit www.elmodrive.com for more info.

Ed Stephens

Host

Ed started out as a Biology graduate from Imperial College London. But he forsook science, lured away by the glamour of a modelling career. He later ditched the catwalk for a role at Angel Investment Network. He has worked there ever since and is now their ‘Global Head of Brokerage & Partnerships’. In that time, he has helped some of the UK’s best entrepreneurs to raise investment for companies including: What3Words, SimbaSleep, Novastone, The Dots, Pivigo… On the side, Ed has worked on Sean Ellis’ Growthhackers.com – even securing Guy Kawasaki as an AMA guest. He has been a startup mentor for Cinnamon Bridge and BBC Worldwide and is a regular speaker and judge on the startup events circuit. He also organised TedxClapham in 2018, featuring former podcast guests Andy Shovel & Peter Sharman, founders of plant-based meat startup, THIS. In his ever-decreasing free time, Ed enjoys jiu jitsu, reading non-fiction and experimenting on himself with nootropics. In March 2018, he briefly resumed his modelling career for a feature on entrepreneurship in a David Gandy edition of The Gentleman’s Journal (as seen in the image we found above!!).
